Limo Talk * May 27, 2009
NEW YORK CITY -- In New York State, the BCAC (Black Car Assistance Corp.), and LBOA (Luxury Base Owners Association), have filed a lawsuit in Albany seeking a Temporary Restraining Order regarding the New York State Dept. of Taxation's new tax rules. They are asking the court to rule that base operators are not required to collect tax and to declare that the law is unconstitutional.
The court has scheduled a hearing to be held tomorrow, Thursday, May 28, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. in the Supreme Court at 6 Lodge Street, Courtroom #3. in Albany, New York. The Judge's name is the Honorable, Roger D McDonough, Esq.
.
It would be imperative that members from the black car, and luxury industry attend to offer support in court.
Our industry leaders urge all of you or your representatives take the day off and appear in court. It is important to have a strong showing.
Any questions, please contact your association's administrative office.
